About The School
Springfield was created in 2002 from an amalgamation ot two old respected Burnley Schools. The new school building, which rose phoenix like from the original Burnley Wood School is light, bright, spacious and airy and provides a learning environment with tremendous facilities.
The costs of the development exceeded £1.5 million and involved the building of several new classrooms and a 'state of the art' ICT suite.
While we wait for the regeneration of the area to take place we have used the surplus space to create Role Play areas, a Music Room and a Living Room.
The Living Room provides a warm, friendly space for the Breakfast Club and a Foundation Stage Dining Room.
Nurturing and supporting all our children and adults is a number one priority to ensure that the best conditions for learning are provided and that everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
